Conferencing

Here at SWDT we have a wide range of flexible conferencing facilities for hire which can be tailored to suit individual needs. Whether you need just a small meeting room or a number of rooms we can help.

We are situated just a few minutes drive of Junction 59 of the A1, ideally located if you are arriving from the North, South, East or West.

SWDT can also arrange a whole variety of catering to include buffets, cold food and hot food.

School Programmes

In our dedicated schools workshop and computer facility we work with local schools to deliver BTEC 1st Certificate / Diploma and Dual Award GCSE in Engineering for year 10 / 11 students.

This is a dedicated facility, available to Schools throughout the region, designed to address the needs of the 14 -19 Agenda.

The workshop is fully equipped with a wide range of tools and equipment to enable the manufacture of engineering/electronic projects.

  • Unit 10: Using Computer Aided Drawing techniques in Engineering.
  • Unit 18: Engineering Marking Out.
  • Unit: 19 Electronic Circuit Construction.

All BTEC and GCSE coursework includes developing manual skills and practical projects.

The auditorium includes the use of a computer with touch screen display, projector and large format screen, wireless microphones, blu-ray player, sound system and the use of the break out area.
Board Room 14 £80 £150
The board room includes the use of an interactive touch display with sound system and connections for up to four laptop computers. Video conferencing facilities are available on request. The board room is located on the first floor which can be accessed by stairs or lift.


Partnership

South West Durham Training works with partners for the delivery of a small proportion of technical certificate delivery due to employer requests.

SWDT will consider expressions of interest from high performing providers and will only work with providers graded good or better by Ofsted.
