Woodham Academy visit SWDT
Engineering students from Woodham Academy in Newton Aycliffe have enjoyed a full day’s training at SWDT.
Woodham Academy visit South West Durham Training - 6th December 2022
The Year 11 pupils were shown around the training centre, donned PPE and took part in precision engineering tasks to make a personalised domino key ring using engineering techniques such as drilling, lathe work and milling. The 24 young engineers also all had a go at fabrication and welding. The day was organised by SWDT manager Steve Harrison and the school's head of engineering Peter Groves.
