Glowing feedback from student focus group

Engineering and plumbing students have given glowing feedback in a focus group designed to further improve the learner experience.

General Manager Jonathan Hall, who led the session, was delighted to hear SWDT was rated highly in a number of areas by students.

They included:

☑ Students felt welcomed when they first arrived at SWDT

☑ Students find that SWDT has a friendly and supportive atmosphere

☑ Students find that the variety of teaching styles keeps them engaged

☑ Students are given useful and consistent feedback that allows them to make good progress during their learning

☑ Students feel well informed about the next steps available to them

☑ Students feel that behaviour isn't an issue during their lessons, and that there is good morale amongst their peers.

☑ Students like the canteen food and find it reasonably priced

One area for improvement raised by students that SWDT will aim to work towards in the near future was that they felt that their recreational space could be improved with some additional activities.
